Beachfit Summer Sports Day 2025 - A 70's Showdown

Last week saw the return of one of the most anticipated events in our Beachfit calendar – Beachfit Sports Day! And this year, we turned up the volume, the colour, and the competition with a full-blown 70s theme.

Think disco balls, space hoppers, flared trousers, and fierce competition. On the hottest day of the year so far – teams came together in full fancy dress to take on dune relays, sack races, tug of war, space hopper relays and a whole host of gloriously silly challenges.

It was sweaty, sandy, and seriously fun.

What made this day truly special wasn’t just the retro vibes or the brilliant costumes – it was the energy, camaraderie, and full-hearted effort everyone brought. Watching everyone support each other through races and laugh their way through wobbly hopper races is exactly what Beachfit is all about.

I’m so grateful for this incredible community who show up – not just to train – but to celebrate fitness in a way that’s fun, inclusive, and empowering. It’s not always about PBs and perfect technique. Sometimes, it’s about racing through the sand in a sack while your teammates cheer like you’re at the Olympics.

A big shoutout and heartfelt thank you to Weleda UK, who kindly provided skin care goodies for all our competitors. After hours of fun (and plenty of sun!), these beautiful products were the perfect treat – and so appreciated.

Here’s to the power of movement, the joy of community, and always finding ways to make fitness fun. Thank you to everyone who took part, dressed up, and gave it their all. I already can’t wait for next year.
