How to start an activity revolution!

Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about how I might help create an activity revolution. In many ways, I hope that Beachfit is already helping to get that ball rolling - with a butterfly effect?
It genuinely makes me sad how many people were put off movement and exercise from such a young age. With my absolute love for exercise — and for the incredible benefits that being outside brings — I hope Beachfit can help change those perceptions. I want people to experience an environment that is kind, welcoming and supportive; one that nurtures movement alongside whatever people want to get out of it.
I truly believe there is space for everyone. That people can come along, join in, and discover movement in a way that feels good for them and supports their goals.
Slowly, we are turning the tide on why activity matters in our lives. And I hope, that we continue to move away from a weight-loss-focused narrative. Activity is so much more than that. It’s about wellbeing, confidence, connection, strength — both physical and mental.
If you ever doubt that this kind of shift is possible, or wonder what it might look like, I invite you to take a walk down Hayle beach one morning. You’ll see a group of warm, hardy women moving together outside, supporting one another and lifting each other up. It’s simple, powerful — and honestly, it’s wonderful.
